Business Development Executive

Highway 29 Creative, one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive wine marketing agencies, is actively searching for an accomplished Business Development Executive to be a part of our rapidly expanding team. This key position invites you to demonstrate your expert sales acumen within the wine industry as you will be instrumental in the prospecting, engagement, and successful acquisition of new winery clients.

The ideal candidate will be equipped with a proven track record in the wine industry, either through direct experience or in a related sales capacity. We seek an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, possessing an entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter mentality, capable of identifying opportunities and capitalizing on them effectively.

A paramount aspect of this role is a deep-seated commitment to our clients. You should genuinely care about their unique challenges, providing solutions with an empathetic understanding of their needs. You will be expected to use this empathy to build trust and long-term relationships, converting opportunities into partnerships that benefit both the client and our agency.

Reports to: Director of Business Development

Location: Napa, Sonoma, Area

Roles:

  • Move The Needle Today

  • Be an Advocate for the Client

  • Master the Deksia Sales Process

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Set and attend referral meetings 

  • Network

  • Keep CRM up to date and organized

  • Host sales meetings 

  • Build and present proposals 

  • Close new business

  • Effectively lead and manage interns and apprentices

  • Effectively advises team and clients

  • Understands and can explain all products and services offered by Deksia

  • Consistently turns prospects into new clients via inbound & outbound leads

  • Actively maintains relationships with existing clients for retention

Competencies: 

  • 4-6 years experience in sales, business development, or a relevant position

  • Team player

  • Say what you do and do what you say

  • Seeks to understand industry trends & best practices
