Waitlist Plugin Documentation
Thanks for purchasing our pop up plugin for your Wordpress website! Watch the video below for step by step instructions on how to use the plugin.
Disclaimer: We highly suggest you upload this plugin to a development site and not your live website when you first install it and then test the plugin. We are not responsible or liable for any issues this plugin may cause with the rest of your website plugins or integrations as every website is coded differently.
NOTE: There is one crucial step not noted in the video below needed to make this plugin work. In Commerce7 inventory settings, there is a field for each product called “Inventory Policy”. You need to make sure this field is set to “Don’t Sell”. This ensures if a wine is sold out, it will not be sold on the website and that this plugin works. If the Inventory Policy is set to “Backorder”, it will leave the add to cart button up on the website, keep selling the wine, and this plugin will not work. See screenshot:
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I change the font, text color, button colors, spacing of the text, etc?
The plugin inherits the default style of your website and will use your fonts, colors, button color of your website. If you want to customize it for the plugin, reach out to your web designer to ask them to override the CSS of the plugin. We do not have access to your website and are unable to edit your website’s code for you.
How do I send people an email after when the wine is no longer sold out?
The plugin creates a tag for you in Commerce7 on the customer profile. The format is “Waitlist: (Name Of Wine).” This ensures each wine has its own tag. You can then filter your customers in Commerce7 by tag and then export that list. Or, if you use Mailchimp or Klaviyo and use the Digitmatic app in the Commerce7 store, it will import these tags into Mailchimp or Klaviyo so you can instantly email them.
We suggest once you email them, consider removing the tag from the customer profile so should you sell out again and have a new waitlist you don’t reach back out to old customers.
